WEBSITE ON COSTRUCTION
4E is an interdisciplinary practice exploring the relationship between the human body, technology, and society. Founded by Federica Sasso and Luca Pagan, their work investigates the creation of new senses and perceptions, redefining human experience design through an innovative use of emerging technologies. Working with self-built wearable devices, image-making practices, and expanded sonic possibilities, the studio investigates audience and users’ reactions to new audiovisual stimuli, creating immersive experiences and customized perceptual encounters. Observing through constructed imagery how movement interacts with immersive sonic processes and virtual environments, their practice investiges the body as a connection between stimuli and memory, ecompassing phenomena of embodiment interaction and augmented reality. 4E collaborates with researchers, engineers, and cultural and scientific institutions such as the Italian Institute of Technology, the Department of Cognitive Robotics at the University of Genoa, the Department of Computer Science and New Technologies at the University of Bologna, and the Department of Philosophy at the University of Milan. 4E also consults and provides branding services for brands, institutions, and private clients in the fields of technology and wellness.
